Suriname - Fort Zeelandia, Paramaribo

A nice postcard of Fort Zeelandia built in 1667 in the oldest part of Paramaribo. Nice bird stamps including a kingfisher stamp. Thanks to Cheryll of Suriname.

Brad, I googled on the history of the Guianas which are located in the north east of South America.

The British Guiana is now Guyana, the Dutch Guiana is Suriname and then there is the French Guiana. The Spanish Guiana is now part of Venezuela and the Portuguese Guiana is now part of Brazil. Cheers, SL :)
