North Korea - Heroes of Wolmi Island
Wow... a surprise postcard from North Korea. It arrived the same day as I got a postcard from South Korea. It shows a monument of the Heroes of Wolmi Island. Four different DPRK stamps used - really liked that. Thanks to Michael of Luxembourg. Postcard was mailed Sep 24, 2009 and arrived in Penang on Oct 15, 2009 - it took 21 days.

North Korea (DPRK) - Kaesong - my fourth postcard
When I heard that Grete was visiting North and South Korea, I requested Grete, if possible, to send me a postcard that is not of "Juche Tower". Reason was all my first three North Korea postcards were various views of Juche Tower. Of course, all three are very special to me since they were sent by different travellers from Pyongyang.
So it was a delightful surprise to receive in my mailbox not only a different view postcard but a hologram postcard of Namdaeng Gate of Kaesong. I have heard of these DPRK hologram posctcards but it was surreal to finally receive one. Thanks so much Grete of UK.

North Korea - my third postcard
North Korea - my second postcard
When I got to know that Jim was visiting North Korea, I could not resist requesting for a postcard. I felt that any postcard from North Korea (DPRK) is precious and I still do. The mail from DPRK is really realible. I got the postcard within weeks. The postcard shows a different view of Juche Tower. Apparently a popular view for postcards in North Korea. Kamsa hamnida Jim of Norway.

North Korea - my first postcard
I waited in great anticipation when Dave who was in South Korea told me his plan to apply for visa to go to DPRK (North Korea) and will send me a postcard if he gets to go Pyongyang. So finally when the card arrived in my mailbox, it was fantastic. Interesting the back of the card has Arabic script. Wonder which county the postcard was printed in. The card shows the Juche Tower. Yippee. Thanks so much Dave for sending this incredible postcard from Pyongyang, North Korea.
