Mexico - Chichen Itza

Chichen-Itza, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was voted as one of the seven new wonders in the world. During the equinox, display of light and shadow made an appearance of a serpent descending down the stairs from the top. Thanks again for Montse for sending this wonderful card from Mexico.

Mexico - Xochimilco - UNESCO

Beautiful postcard of leisure boat travel along canals of Xochimilco. It is located south of Mexico City where during Aztec times, the locals will travel by boats (chalupas and trajineras) to Tenochtitlan. Together with Mexico City, Xochimilco is designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Thanks so much to Laura of Mexico City. Muchos gracias.

A wonderful panaromic view of Iztaccohuatl and Popocatepetl National Park - two amazing snow capped volcanoes overlooking Mexico City - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The monasteries on the slope of Popocatepetl is also designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.Thanks to Montse who lives in Mexico for sending this postcard.
