Penang Free School 200th Anniversary - Postcards and October 21, 2016 Stamp Issue

Penang Free School, my alma mater, is first English school in Southeast Asia and started in 1816. On October 21, 2016, Penang Free School celebrated 200th Anniversary with Pos Malaysia issuing special bicentenary commemorative stamps. In 1966, Pos Malaysia has also issued Penang Free School 150th Anniversary stamps. Here are the postcards that I bought and cancelled with matching stamps with the special First Issue cancellation by Pos Malaysia at the school. The Pos Malaysia mobile unit unfortunately was from Sungai Petani and so the day chop is a Kedah chop, apparently the Penang mobile unit broke down. I also visited the Penang Free School to get the school official chop. For your viewing pleasure. Fortis Atque Fidelis - Strong and Faithful. Long Live Penang Free School...
