Burundi - Bujumbura City

Bujumbura is the largest city and capital of Burundi. It is a port in the northeastern shore of Lake Tanganyika. Postmarked Bujumbura April 2013. Thanks to Deo of Burundi.

Stamps used: 1) 100F stamp from 1992 Mushroom issue of 10 values, 2) 1020F stamp from 2011 Whale Issue.

I enjoyed learning the capitals of every country. The capital of Burundi is hard to spell and remember - Bu-jum-bu-ra. I googled and found that it means "market where potatoes are sold", not sure if it is correct. And that Burundi plans to move its capital back to Gitega from Bujumbura.
