Salt mining was one of the world's most precious commodities in centuries past. Salt mining started in Grand Turk in the 1660's. Thanks to TBC of USA who mailed this postcard from Grand Turk on Jan 31, 2014 - it arrived in Penang island on Feb 28, 2014 - one month of postal delivery.
