Wow.. my first postcard mailed from Iraq Kurdistan. It shows Erbil with its historical citadel - a tentative list for UNESCO World Heritage nomination. The postcard was missent to Thailand but fortunately arrive. Thanks to Patrick, Valirie, Sisko, Matthieu.

Prophet Younes Mosque and Tomb, Mosul, Iraq. Special postmark of 12-12-2012 with cancellation of 12 Dec 2012. There is a second cancellation of 16 Dec 2012. The postcard only arrived in Penang Island on March 15, 2013 - almost 3 months later. Thanks to Bilal of Iraq for this wonderful postcard with special date cancellation.


Iraq - Al-Iman Ali Mosque, Najaf - Map

A nice postcard showing the map of Iraq and the golden dome of the Iman Ali Mosque in Najaf holy city, 160 km south west of Baghdad. Nice Iraqi stamps used including South Africa FIFA 2010 stamp. It was postmarked August 11, 2011, missent to Thailand and arrived in Penang on September 26, 2011. Thanks to Milad of Iraq.
