Malaysia - Selangor State - Shah Alam

Selangor is the most industrialized state in Malaysia. Shah Alam is the capital of Selangor with one of the largest mosques, the Sultan Sallahuddin Mosque. Selangor State stamps with King of Selangor used. Thanks to Cikgu Dale.


Malaysia - Federal Territory - Kuala Lumpur

Malaysia - Federal Territory - Putrajaya

Putrajaya is the built from scratch as a planned new administrative federal capital of Malaysia. Together with Cyberjaya, it was created as a new Federal Territory (Wilayah Persekutuan) from Selangor State. The Putra Mosque of Putrajaya is built with Persian motif. Malaysia - Melaka State - Malacca - Fort Famosa

Melaka (Malacca) is now a UNESCO WHS city and has started in 1402 AD as a spice port in the Straits of Malacca (Melaka). It was captured in 1511 by the Portuguese. Here are the ruins of the Famosa Fort and St. Paul's church. Stamps of Melaka State Emblem. Thanks to Azri of Melaka.

Malaysia - Sarawak State - Mulu National Park

I visited Mulu Caves, flying from Miri. This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Incredible large caves with the Mount Mulu and the Pinnacles, located in Sarawak State in Borneo Island.

Malaysia - Kelantan State - Bird Singing Contest

Bird Singing competitions are held in Kelantan, Malaysia. I mailed this postcard from Jeli, Kelantan on April 29, 2012 and arrived in Penang on May 5, 2012.

Malaysia - Federal Territory - Labuan

I was really happy to receive my first postcard sent from Labuan. The Federal Territory of Labuan was formerly an English Crown Colony and later separated from the state of Sabah. Labuan is an international off shore banking center. Thanks Rebecca.




Malaysia - Sabah State - Kinabalu National Park

Kinabalu Park is a UNESCO WHS site. Mount Kinabalu (4095m) is the highest mountain in Southeast Asia. Many, young and old, are able and have climbed to the top of this summit.
