Australia - Lighthouses

Australia's coastline is home to over 350 lighthouses which have been built over the past 200 years. Their design is the same and yet delightfullyvaried. Here is a selection of Australia's lighthouses over 24 meters high. Four wonderful Australia Antartica Territory stamps. Thanks to Heather of Australia. Sent June 15, 2011 and reached Penang on June 22, 2011. A great addition to my postcard collection of lighthouses. Postcard 3

Cape Otway Lighthouse was built in 1848 and 15 minutes drive from The Great Ocean Road. For ships sailing for Melbourne it was their first landfall on the Australian Coast. I bought this postcard there.
