New Zealand - Milford Sound

I visited Milford Sound in the South Island where I took a cruise and saw some majestic waterfalls. Stirling Falls plunges 146m to the sea from a hanging valley. Adriennegarry also used to Year of the Ox stamps of New Zealand. Thanks so much.

Besides Auckland, I visited many great places in the North Island like Wellington, New Plymouth, Rotorua, Bay of Islands and Waitomo Caves of glow-worms. This is view of Wanganui City, North Island. Thanks to Julie C who sent this postcard of her hometown.

New Zealand - Native Birds

New Zealand is remote isolation has incredible unique fauna and flora. I was able to watch dolphins, whales and see the kea birds when I was there. An incredible beautiful postcard, extra long in size of Native Birds. Sent by Kimi of New Zealand with many stamps used. Thanks so much.

The Maoris were the original settlers in New Zealand before the arrival of Europeans. When I visited New Zealand, I was impressed that the Maori culture is embraced by all Kiwis. Thanks to ML for sending this great postcard of Maori War Dance - Haka, when she was in Auckland, New Zealand.

New Zealand Post has been issueing Ross Dependency stamps. Received two postcards from Ruth who sent these postcard when visiting New Zealand in 2007 and 2008. Both have special postal chop with Christchurch which is the usual launch for Antartica expeditions.
