Samoa - Apia, Upolu Island

Wow... a wonderful postcard from another South Pacific country - Samoa. Thanks again to Jim of Norway who wrote that Samoa is beautiful and incredibly nice and so sad to see all the damage from the tsunami on the southern coast. Cool colorful stamps used including a special shape sticker stamp of $2.10. Postcard was postmarked November 3, 2009 and arrived in Penang on November 13, 2009.

Samoa - My first postcard

Wow.. Today, I received my first postcard sent from Samoa! Samoa is known as Western Samoa or Independent Samoa to differentiate her from the American Samoa. This extra long size beautiful postcard was postmarked on August 27, 2009 and arrived in Penang on September 9, 2009. Nice stamp of Year of Tourism, $3. Thanks so much to Phil and Marge who also mailed me two postcards from American Samoa.
