Malaysia - Visit Malaysia 2026 - Postcard 2

This is the second of two different designed postcards by Pos Malaysia for Visit Malaysia 2026 with new stamps issued. This postcard featured the Proboscis Monkey, Orangutan, Malayan Bear, Elephant, Tapir, Tiger, Hornbil, etc which are selected animal postcards that I collect. So it is an all in one animal postcard for my collection.

Singapore - Great Indian Hornbill - Jurong Bird Park

Thailand - Hornbills

I bought this nice set of hornbill postcards issued the Second International Asian Hornbill Workshop from a stamp dealer at Sam Senai Philatelic Museum weekend stalls. A great addition to my postcard collection of hornbills.

Thailand - Oriental Pied Hornbill

Khao Yai National Park - A male Oriental Pied hornbill feeding food to his mate in a nest. I bought this postcard in Thailand in 2011.

Thailand - Hornbills at Khao Yai National Park

Four hornbill species - Great Hornbill, Oriental Pied Hornbill, Wreathed Hornbill, Tickell's Brown Hornbill. I gave this hornbill multi-species postcard to the staff of the resort hotel that I was staying near Khao Yai National Park to mail on August 15, 2016. Noticed that it was cancelled only on April 4, 2017 - may be the staff forget. It arrived in mailbox in Penang island on April 13, 2017 - which almost 8 months that I have written the postcard. It got Pak Chong post office cancellation, the gateway town with a train station outside of the national park. At least the postcard finally arrived.

Malaysia - Rhinoceros Hornbill - KL BIrd Park

Rhinoceros Hornbill Buceros rhinoceros is revered by the Bornean Dayaks as the "God of War" and sacred protector of their villages and homes. I bought this postcard from the gift shop of Kuala Lumpur Bird Park in August 2014. It is from a set of 5 bird postcards and there are two different sets.
