During the annual Hungry Ghost Festival during the Lunar 7th month, traditional Chinese opera is performed to entertain the "spirits" released from Hades. I bought and mailed this postcard from George Town General Post Office to myself in 2011 Year of the Rabbit using the rabbit themed stamp. A great addition to my Chinese Opera postcard collection.

Chinese Opera - China - Peking Opera

A China Post postcard of Peking Opera. It is a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. Liang Hongyu (female) and Hua Shizhong (male) where Liang had learned civil and martial arts since childhood but became a song girl after here father died. Liang met Hua who was a patriot and together defend Song Dynasty to resist the invading Jin. The postcard was missent to Macau. Thanks to Zong of Harbin, China - xie xie.
