TImor - Shared Island - Timor Leste, Indonesia

Timor is an island at the south eastern section of Southeast Asia. It is shared by West Timor of Indonesia and independent Timor Leste. The island was once divided by the Dutch and the Portuguese.

Postcard 1 - Timor Leste
It took me awhile before I got a postcard sent from Timor Leste (formerly East Timor). It was under Portuguese for many centuries, then under Indonesia and is now the newest independent country in Southeast Asia. Ruth, thanks so much for sending me this card from your business trip to Dili, Timor Leste.
