Malaysia - Kuala Lumpur - Petaling Street

Postcard 1
The open streete of Petaling Street had been transformed over the years with a pedestrian roof and yet bustling as ever. I often visit whenever in Kuala Lumpur to sample the street food amidst the shoppers. An nice addition to my postcard collection of Chinatowns worldwide.

Postcard 2
Kuala Lumpur was founded as a tin mining town by the Chinese Hakka Capitan Yah Ah Loy. Postcard shows the view of busy Petaling Street before the overhead roofs are installed. The main Chinese dialect spoken in Kuala Lumpur is Cantonese which is widely spoken in Hong Kong and people in Guangzhou city and Guangdong province of China.
