China - Qing Dynasty - Royal Family

China has been ruled by Emperors and Empresses since Shang Dynasty until the last Dynasty of Qing was overthrown.

Here are two postcards sent by Zhuo of China showing two famous imperial personalities of the Qing Manchu Dynasty of China.

The Last Emperor of China Pu Yi as a child standing on the right with his younger brother Pu Jie sitting on the lap of Zai Feng. Emperor Pu Yi ascended the dragon throne when he was 4 years old under the watchful eye of Dowager Ci Xi.

Dowager Ci Xi has often being depicted as the treacherous widow who held the grip of power of the Qing Dynasty behind the curtain veil.
