View of Jonker Street of historic downtown of Melaka. This is considered the old section of "Chinatown" in Melaka. Architecture is Straits Chinese influence which is a blend of Chinese and Anglo-Indian. Historically, a Ming Dynasty princess Hang Li Po came with her large entourage to marry a Sultan of Melaka during the period of Ming naval expeditions to Asia and Africa under Admiral Cheng Ho (Zheng He).
