A cool Sheraton Hotel postcard sent from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Thanks so much to Ruth.
Postcard shows cup and straw for drinking yerba mate. Yerba mate often drunk out of a hollowed out gourd, painted, and with a bombillasa, a metal straw with a filter on the end to prevent the yerba from going into your mouth. Very popular in Uruguay as well as Argentina.
There was a stick on label covering the stamp with the words ""taxe percue mexico cartas lc". Found out it meant that postage was prepaid. The postcard had gone through Mexico. Fortunately, I could easily remove this label and reveal the nice Argentinian label stamp.
