Bahrain - Manama - Pearl Roundabout
Just sad to hear that this iconic symbol was razed down as it had become a symbol of protest in Bahrain. View of Pearl Roundabout in Manama City, Bahrain. Interesting point is that I have received another postcard of Pearl Roundabout in Qatar. Pearls was a major harvest in the Middle East. Thanks to Nomel G for this nice postcard.

Yes, it was demolished right after the demonstration. Now, the place is just a traffic junction with traffic lights.
A person was killed (by falling parts of the structure) during the demolition of the Pearl structure.
Interestingly I tried to obtain postcards with the picture of the Pearl Roundabout, however, none was available.
Welcome! Please send me a postcard or exchange a postcard with me. It will brighten my day.
